Washington Post Exposes Government Mind Control

Filed under: headline news — Lula @ 7:05 pm

Incredible as it may seem, The Washington Post has written a five page article exposing new information on Government mind control possibilities and targeted electromagnetic radiation. The article entitled “Mind Games” begins by painting the alleged victims as nut cases….

The members of this confessional “club” are not your usual victims. This isn’t a group for alcoholics, drug addicts or survivors of childhood abuse; the people connecting on the call are self-described victims of mind control — people who believe they have been targeted by a secret government program that tracks them around the clock, using technology to probe and control their minds.

The callers frequently refer to themselves as TIs, which is short for Targeted Individuals, and talk about V2K — the official military abbreviation stands for “voice to skull” and denotes weapons that beam voices or sounds into the head…

and then portrays the one Congressman who has the courage to stand up and protect us from these abuses as a loon…

The biggest hurdle for TIs is getting people to take their concerns seriously. A proposal made in 2001 by Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) to ban “psychotronic weapons” (another common term for mind-control technology) was hailed by TIs as a great step forward. But the bill was widely derided by bloggers and columnists and quickly dropped….

…but then the Washington Post surprisingly ventures into the truth that the government not only has the capabilities, but given this government they would likely use these technologies against us…

In response to a Freedom of Information Act request filed for this article, the Air Force released unclassified documents surrounding that 2002 patent — records that note that the patent was based on human experimentation in October 1994 at the Air Force lab, where scientists were able to transmit phrases into the heads of human subjects, albeit with marginal intelligibility. Research appeared to continue at least through 2002. Where this work has gone since is unclear…

Meanwhile, the military’s use of weapons that employ electromagnetic radiation to create pain is well-known, as are some of the limitations of such weapons. In 2001, the Pentagon declassified one element of this research: the Active Denial System, a weapon that uses electromagnetic radiation to heat skin and create an intense burning sensation….

given the history of America’s clandestine research, it’s reasonable to assume that if the defense establishment could develop mind-control or long-distance ray weapons, it almost certainly would. And, once developed, the possibility that they might be tested on innocent civilians could not be categorically dismissed.

Clips from 911 Press for Truth

Filed under: headline news, Impeach — ben @ 9:52 am

I highly recommend the DVD 9/11 Press for Truth for anyone wishing to wake up their friends and family. It’s all mainstream news clips, quotes from the asses’ mouths, that prove the Bush Admin is flat out lying regarding September 11th.

Buy the dvd here- www.911pressfortruth.com

This is my 911p4t plus re-mix (18mb avi)

The one bit of info the movie didn’t include was about the 52 warnings prior to 9/11, including a cdrom mailed to airlines & airports about suicide hijackers.

The CD-ROM briefings said: “We don’t rule it out … If however, the intent of the hijacker is not to exchange hostages for prisoners, but to commit suicide in a spectacular explosion, a domestic hijacking would probably be preferable.”

This report was printed in August 2004, but withheld by Bush until after the election- (there is no way he would have ‘won’ the election) if this came out. By the way, that was the same month that they ’swift-boated’ Kerry for his actions in Vietnam, clearly the 52 warnings and Bush’s inaction before/during 9/11 would have been way more relevant.

This is my prior audio re-mix that included the 52 warnings report.

There is No Doubt: Bush Spy Program is UnConstitutional

Filed under: headline news — Lula @ 10:11 am

On the Necessity of Impeachment:

U. Chicago Law Professor Geoffrey Stone, Georgetown U. Law Professor David Cole, and U. Massachusetts Law School Dean Lawrence Velvel - agree: “Some legal questions are hard. This one is not. Mr. Bush’s authorizing of the NSA to spy on Americans is blatantly unlawful and unconstitutional.
But is it an impeachable offense? Mr. Bush has committed an impeachable offense.

Mr. Bush is the first president ever to admit that he committed an impeachable offense.
The opposite opinion - that Mr. Bush’s warrantless domestic wiretapping program is legal, as contended by his lawyers - simply cannot be taken seriously. Indeed, it’s so erroneous that “it’s not even close.”

Bush’s own words prove that he is lying. (mp3)

on edit: here’s the YouTube Video of Bush Admitting to an Impeachable Offense on national Tv. Listen to his excuse- is it believable? Every CongressCritter ought to be confronted with this video.

Constitutional Scholar Jonathan Turley - (mp3):

Now I want to be absolutely clear, what the President ordered in this case was a crime. Now we can debate whether he had a good or bad motivation, but it was a crime.

14 Constitutional Scholars agree that Bush broke the law.

Harvard Law Prof. Laurence Tribe concludes

that the NSA spying is “as grave an abuse of executive authority as I can recall ever having studied.”

Court rules wiretapping violated the Constitution- Bush vows to overturn ruling, vows to continue violating the Constitution.

Bush says he’s spying on al-Qaeda- but there are numerous reports that he’s spying on dissenters- the trademark of a dictator.

In asserting his right to ignore the law, President Bush has slapped Congress right across the face and told them they better like it.

Bush and his advisers do not claim that his actions are legal because they abide by the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, or FISA; they quite clearly violate that law. Instead, they claim his actions are legal because as commander in chief, he can violate the law if he chooses and still be acting legally.

Are we as a nation going to sit by and passively watch as the United States Constitution is relegated to the status of a vague reference document?

We cannot expect either Republicans or Democrats in Congress to initiate any challenge to the existing order of things. In the history of the nation, serious injustices—slavery, racial segregation, the rights of working people, the condition of women, the war in Vietnam—have only been remedied by powerful social movements that have forced the government to change its policies.

Now we have another such time.

Our very existence as a nation of laws and justice depends on it.

Forget Impeachment- Conyers has “A New American Agenda”

Filed under: headline news — Lula @ 9:20 am

John Conyers is starting a town hall meeting tour where he is attempting to silence the public on Impeachment. He started the meeting by asking all those holding Impeachment signs to put them down.

The following is a report from a DUer

On impeachment: It is not practical right now. It will never succeed, as they don’t have the votes. They would just tie up the legislative process for 4-6 months if they got bogged down in impeachment and they wouldn’t get anything done. Then, of course, people would say they didn’t get anything done and throw them out.

Instead Conyers will pursue what he calls, get this “A New American Agenda”
where they will pursue anything but Impeachment…

*international law issues and how our country does not follow may of them
*reintroduce legislation to establish the Department of Peace
*We need to work on a single-payer, universal health care bill
*Reform the new bankruptcy law
*We need to do something about Darfur.
*We need to reform the criminal justice system.
*We need to create a whole new paradigm — we need to change what the U.S. means to the world.
*Go back to the civil rights movement: jobs, justice, peace.

I doubt I need to state the obvious, but does anyone thing anything will be accomplished with Bush in office? This is more stalling.

Conyers is holding his “A New American Agenda” meetings around the country, I suggest that everyone attend them but when he asks you to put your Impeachment signs down, say NO!

IMPEACHMENT IS OUR POSITIVE AGENDA.

How can anyone who is sworn to uphold our constitution think they should just overlook blatant violations of the law and just move on to other things?

We cannot allow John Conyers and Nancy Pelosi to lead our country into stupidity.

I think we should give our Congress a ‘Christmas in Iraq’ by visiting them this Christmas season and giving them a Christmas like the Iraqis and our troops are experiencing. Show up at their local offices with pictures of the carnage they helped create. Visit their homes with a crowd, signs and read the stories of the reality in Iraq over a loudspeaker. Why should they enjoy a peaceful holiday while they are still ruining the lives of so many?

As some celebrate the birth of Christ, wouldn’t it be nice to act in his behalf? Would Jesus be sitting at home enjoying his wealth and privilege meanwhile being responsible for the killing of so many? Take the time to stand outside your congresspersons home reminding them just who they are celebrating. Shout loudly “Thou shall not kill” Thou shall not steal!! Demand Impeachment and cutting the funding off to Halliburton and the other looters.
Let them know that we are not going away. This outrage will only grow until they answer to the will of the people.

Impeach Bushco, Save Lives: Open-ended March on DC begins Jan 3rd

Filed under: US Govt, headline news, Impeach, Cointelpro — ben @ 1:57 pm

There must be thousands of anti-bush bloggers… why can’t we all work together? Anti-war patriots need to stop following cointelpro ‘leaders’ and start organizing our own actions.

Wouldn’t it be cool if every one of them put up a “March on DC to Impeach” banner. Haven’t you had enough of the Saturday afternoon protests that go nowhere? Who organizes a march when Congress isn’t even in town?

And this time, we’ll have none of that Nixon waving goodbye bullshit, we demand an open hearing, with Bush & co testifying under oath, in public- cross examined by Congress and members of the public. We demand the truth, and this time, we’re staying until the crooks and liars and are held accountable!

I’m just one person, would you please consider emailing a few anti-bush sites and asking them if they’ll post a banner too? Got better graphic arts skills than me, by all means make another and offer it up (- ;

What would MLK do if he were alive today? What about John Lennon? Funny how they were shot, and now we have a bunch of posers in their place, leading another Saturday march to nowhere.

Beirut has music blasting thru the walls of the Presidential Palace- why can’t we do that?

We could have a Woodstock 2007: Impeach for World Peace Concert in DC- with a whole range of peace artists from rap to country to rock. Can anyone out there contact: Eddie Vedder, Willie Nelson, Chuck D, Dixie Chicks, Green Day, Billy Bragg, Immortal Technique, John Mellencamp, Merle Haggard, Ani Difranco, Paris, Jynkz, et al….

It is time for an open-ended march on DC,
if not now, when?

Are all of the above singers sellouts? I don’t think so. Are they cowards? No- not that either. Maybe they are all just waiting for someone to organize it.

Corporate Media Lies: Iran’s Pres Did NOT say “Wipe Out Israel”

Filed under: misc, headline news, Nukular — ben @ 12:24 pm

The corporate media is full of it- here is the Guardian UK’s headline:

Move to bring genocide case against Ahmadinejad as Iran president repeats call to wipe out Israel

Here is Ahmadinejad’s quote (from the same article):

“Thanks to people’s wishes and God’s will, the trend for the existence of the Zionist regime is downwards and this is what God has promised and what all nations want.”

“The trend for the existence of the Zionist regime is downwards” is a far cry from “Wipe out Israel”. It could even be interpreted that Ahmadinejad is not so concerned with Israel the state, as he is with the current regime ruling Israel.

He also said:

“Israel is about to crash. The Soviet Union disappeared, and this will also be the fate of the Zionist regime.”

Did someone “wipe out” the Soviet Union? No- it collapsed from within.

Are editors across the globe stupid or consciously manipulative?

UFPJ March Scheduled for the weekend AFTER the State of the Union

Filed under: headline news, Cointelpro — ben @ 11:29 am

It is clear that the new Congress is not going to change a damn thing. Pelosi and Conyers have both said impeachment is off the table. “[Impeachment] is a waste of time,” Mrs. Pelosi said. “Making them lame ducks is good enough for me.”

What about her sworn oath to uphold the Constitution. By taking impeachment off the table, Pelosi is openly declaring herself a traitor, loyal to Bush over the Constitution. Impeachment is not an option, it is the rule of law. Bush & Co broke the law, they must be held accountable - period.

Demand more from the politicians. I don’t believe they will listen to letters, faxes and phone calls- it’s time that We The People put some real heat on Congress, by showing up in DC and not leaving until they have done their job.

And if they refuse, we throw them all out.

Which brings me to the point- United for Peace and Justice has organized another Saturday afternnon march… anyone think it’ll accomplish anything? Of course not, especially since it’s the Saturday AFTER the State of the Union speech.

UFPJ’s march is Jan 27th, the chimp’s SotU address is scheduled for Tues Jan 23rd. Could it be that they are worried about a Mosh like event occuring?

Wouldn’t it be cool if every pro-impeach blogger put up a “March on DC to Impeach” the rat bastards banner on their website? The Impeach Bush Coalition has been contacted- do they support a massive march on DC? If not- why?

What We The People Should Do

Filed under: headline news — ben @ 8:23 pm

Mike Rivero at www.WhatReallyHappened.com is exactly right.

What we should do is gather in DC when the new Congress meets and tell them flat out that WE THE PEOPLE refuse to allow anything else to be done until the liars who tricked us into war are impeached, removed from office, and tried for war crimes.

We The People sent the new Congress to DC with a clear mandate. REMIND THEM OF THAT. Practice snarling now. Make a point of opposing any new legislation, no matter what it is. Stop every Congressional action in its tracks. Bring all congressional business to a dead halt until they deal with the task YOU SENT THEM TO WASHINGTON TO DEAL WITH.

Here is the campsite

Fascism cannot occur unless the opposition is totally disorganized. Why is the left so disorganized? What is preventing all the big name stars and intellectuals like from organizing a march until the nightmare is over. Why do we have ANSWER and World Can’t Wait taking turns organizing a weekend march every spring and fall. F*#k the weekend march- stay as long as it takes!

In the Ukraine protestors stayed for weeks, chanting “Police, Join the people”. The cops did leave their posts and the PM was forced to step down. (more…)

Annual Cost of Iraq War 100 times that of Vietnam

Filed under: Iraq, US Govt, headline news — ben @ 10:41 am

This is only a snapshot of 1 year’s funding, but still…

Vietnam 1974:

Congress cut funding to South Vietnam for the upcoming fiscal year from a proposed 1.26 billion to 700 million dollars.

Iraq 2006:

[Congress] voted for a bill which went into effect on Oct. 1 that appropriated $70 billion… [There is a new bill that] some are now estimating as an additional $160 billion for the war in Iraq, bringing the total for the fiscal year to $230 billion.

One year of Vietnam = $1.26 Billion
One year of Iraq = $230 Billion

Is it just inflation?

Let’s see, if you bought a brand new car in 1974 for $1260 (not feasible, but for the sake of transparent, easy math) , then a comparable car today would cost about $230,000.

Somebody’s getting the shaft- and it ain’t the military-industrial complex.

Conyers’ Betrayal

Filed under: headline news — ben @ 9:53 am

This is a short post to highlight one simple fact- John Conyers is an establishment shill- a fraud that has betrayed every American that supported his ‘investigations’.

From Conyers’ report, The Constitution in Crisis:

Our investigation has found that while the allegations set forth in this Report rise to the level of impeachable misconduct by the President, the Vice President, and other high ranking officials within the Administration, more information and investigatory authority is needed before recommendations can be made concerning specific Articles of Impeachment.

link : scroll down to Chapter 4, page 13

So last year Conyers do-nothing excuse was “more information and investigatory authority is needed”. Now that the democrats will have control of the House, “they aren’t even going to issue subpoenas.

They aren’t even going to issue subpoenas! They aren’t going to investigate anything!

Wake up America- the Democrats in DC are establishment whores that are enabling BushCo to get away with murder. Conyers led the investigations into the Election Fraud, Downing Street Memo and Illegal Wiretapping- all led nowhere. Supposedly because the Republicans had control of the House… but now that’s been exposed- they led nowhere because Conyers is a Fraud.

McKinney Calls For Impeachment: Conyers Not Planning Investigations

Filed under: headline news — Lula @ 1:14 pm

Atlanta Progressive News has copy of Cynthia’s final floor speech in which she introduces articles of Impeachment but as it turns out she was not allowed to read on the US House Floor….

We have a President who has misgoverned and a Congress that has refused to hold him accountable. It is a grave situation and I believe the stakes for our country are high.

No American is above the law, and if we allow a President to violate, at the most basic and fundamental level, the trust of the people and then continue to govern, without a process for holding him accountable, what does that say about our commitment to the truth? To the Constitution? To our democracy?…

I am not willing to put any political party before my principles.

This, instead, is about beginning the long road back to regaining the high standards of truth and democracy upon which our great country was founded.

Mr. Speaker:

Under the standards set by the United States Constitution, President Bush, along with Vice President Cheney, and Secretary of State Rice, should be subject to the process of impeachment, and I have filed H. Res.1106 in the House of Representatives.

To my fellow Americans, as I leave this Congress, it is in your hands to hold your representatives accountable, and to show those with the courage to stand for what is right, that they do not stand alone.

gnn.tv has the best up to date coverage and behind the scenes…
and it might be a surprise to some that it looks as if John Conyers is not even planning on pursuing investigations.

Will other members of congress support the action Congresswoman McKinney has brought forth?

At the table in what could be considered her impeachment “war room” the question is brought up a number of times.

Mike, an advisor to McKinney, mentions, “Conyers was supposed to have investigations. They were chomping at the bit 6 months ago to do subpoenas.”

McKinney quietly replies, “Now they say they aren’t even going to issue subpoenas.”

hold Congress’ feet to the fire. 50,000 telegrams to Congress forced them to hold impeachment hearings on Nixon….

Democratic Party Denies Democracy “We will not cut off funding for the troops”

Filed under: headline news — Lula @ 9:24 am

It is generally understood that the recent overthrow of Republican control of congress was a direct result of the war in Iraq. As if taking Impeachment off the table wasn’t enough, now Democratic ‘leaders’ are promising to stay the course in Iraq. Americans are tired of destroying an innocent nation, killing hundreds of thousands and poisoning possibly millions with Depleted Uranium just so Halliburton can continue it’s looting.

The problem however, is that the Democratic leadership doesn’t feel the same way about humanity as the rest of us. They think that We the People put them in power so that they could get more corporate donations than the Republicans.

Congressman Kucinich has been leading the effort to educate Americans as well as his fellow Congressmen, that Congress has no power over Bush’s war but to cut off his allowance…

Congress can debate and pass legislation for redeployment, phased redeployment, or an over the horizon presence. Congress can vote for a resolution to end the war and a resolution to bring the troops home. However, none of this will have any legal effect. Each appropriations approval was a vote to continue the Iraq war.

Instead of taking a hint after the recent election, Bush has instead asked for even more money for Iraq than last year…

In the spring of 2007 a new Supplemental Appropriations bill, estimated in published reports at $130 billion will be brought to Congress. Added to the $70 billion bridge fund, this equals $200 billion for Iraq in FY2007 alone. Compare this with $117.6 Billion for all missions in FY06.

and Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi are prepared to give him anything he asks for…

“We’re not going to do anything to limit funding or cut off funds,” says Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid, D-Nev.

“We will not cut off funding for the troops,” Pelosi said. “Absolutely not,” she said.

and this is Nancy Pelosi’s reasoning??!!

“Let me remove all doubt in anyone’s mind; as long as our troops are in harm’s way, Democrats will be there to support them”

As Congressman Kucinich states

Well, we have abandoned the troops in the field already. We have abandoned them to lies about why the war was being fought. We have abandoned them to getting shot from all sides. We have left them in a type of hell while we profess a strange love for them by keeping them there.

Kucinich explains that there is plenty of money to bring the troops home…

The money’s there to bring the troops home and that money is continued in the so-called bridge fund that was passed September 30th, 2006. We have the money to bring the troops home. The idea that the troops will be stranded is false and is being spread by people who want to keep the war and the war spending going.

and I have news for Steny Hoyer…

“None of us want to fail; none of us want to see Iraq as a failure,”

Iraq is a failure. Invading a nation to steal their resources meanwhile killing hundreds of thousands of innocent people is a failure of humanity. Bush being in office, and Democrats continuing his ‘policies’ is a failure of our own Democracy.

It is time for the American people to wake Congress up. Never before has it been so evident that they live in a bubble. They think they can do whatever they want with our once great nation and no one can stop them. It is time to get in Congress’ face.

Find out what your Congressperson is doing for their Christmas break, and make sure they don’t have a Merry Christmas this year. They do not deserve one. Why should they enjoy an extended vacation in their plush homes while Iraqi women and children continue to be murdered?

Take a trip to your local Congressperson’s office and let them know how you feel about allowing this massacre to continue simply so Cheney can have a happy Christmas. Tell them how you feel about allowing war criminals to continue their policies in office when they should have been impeached already and sent to the Hague.

Demand they Impeach Bush and Cheney as soon as they return to DC. Stand outside their office and scream, whatever you can do to let them know that We the People will not be silenced!

Iraq: Civil War or Divide and Conquer

Filed under: Iraq, US Govt, headline news — ben @ 3:01 pm

Everyday the US Corporate Media bombards America with the “huge spike in violence” that inevitably means that Iraq is descending into civil war. We’re told there are two choices, it’s a civil war, or its “al Qaeda” - but there is a third option the corporate media refuses to utter.

Even high-school slackers have heard of the age-old strategy “Divide and Conquer”. Is it possible that there are outside forces working this strategy in Iraq today? Perhaps rogue elements inside some government(s) would like to conquer Iraq for the oil, permanent bases, strategic position, etc.

Why is it that nobody in the TV news world can utter this possibility? Is it really that outrageous to think that perhaps the same people that lied to launch the war, are still lying today to prolong the war?

Let’s look at a few “under-reported” stories:

Israel First Democrats Condemn Carter’s Call to End Apartheid in Palestine

Filed under: headline news — Lula @ 9:01 am

Former President Jimmy Carter has come forward with a new book “Palestine: Peace, Not Apartheid.” in an effort to explain the reality of the situation in Palestine. He took the opportunity to educate Wolf Blitzer on CNN’s situation room…

What the wall does is separate Palestinians from other Palestinians. This wall is not built between Israel and Palestine.
It’s built between the Palestinians and other Palestinians….in the West Bank, in the occupied territories, a horrible example of apartheid is being perpetrated against the Palestinians who
live there. Israel has penetrated and occupied, confiscated and colonized major portions of the territory belonging to the Palestinians. In order to do that, they have now built roads between those
isolated settlements — about — well, more than 200 of them. And those roads connect those settlements but they are exclusively to be used by Israelis. So the Palestinians are separated from their own land. And in order to keep the Palestinians from objecting to this, the Israelis have arrested and imprisoned about 9,000 Palestinians, including 300 children, some of them 12 years old, and others women, about 100 women.
And, in the process, the Palestinians are completely treated as inferior citizens.

But wouldn’t you know it, the Israel first democrats have come forward in their defense. John Conyers personally called Carter to convince him to change the title of the book.

“(It)does not serve the cause of peace, and the use of it against the Jewish people in particular, who have been victims of the worst kind of discrimination, discrimination resulting in death, is offensive and wrong….“I cannot agree with the book’s title and its implications about apartheid. I recently called the former president to express my concerns about the title of the book, and to request that the title be changed. President Carter does not build upon his career as a proponent of peace in the Middle East with this comparison and I hope he and his publisher will reconsider this decision.”

Nancy Pelosi also attempts to cover up the obvious truth…

“It is wrong to suggest that the Jewish people would support a government in Israel or anywhere else that institutionalizes ethnically based oppression, and Democrats reject that allegation vigorously.”

I think that Nancy Pelosi misses the point. Just as Americans don’t approve of our current government and their oppression of the Iraqi people and assault on Muslim people in general, it is wrong to blame the Jewish people for what is being done by their government.

Howard Dean also issued a statement

“While I have tremendous respect for former President Carter, I fundamentally disagree and do not support his analysis of Israel and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict,” Dean wrote in a statement. “On this issue President Carter speaks for himself, the opinions in his book are his own, they are not the views or position of the Democratic Party. I and other Democrats will continue to stand with Israel in its battle against terrorism and for a lasting peace with its neighbors.”

Although Israel first Democrats appear to be afraid of the word apartheid, Israel’s Ha’aretz seems to see the connection, as pointed out by World War 4 Report

It should be noted that Ha’aretz, Israel’s most respected newspaper, wrote in an Sept. 13 editorial,”…the apartheid regime in the territories remains intact; millions of Palestinians are living without rights, freedom of movement or a livelihood, under the yoke of ongoing Israeli occupation, and in the future they will turn the Jews into a minority between the Mediterranean Sea and the Jordan River.[…]”

Also, Akiva Eldar reported May 13,’03 in Ha’aretz that former Italian Prime Minister Massimo D’Alema claimed Sharon told him he used the South African Bantustan model in his plan to cantonize the Palestinian territories and limit their autonomy.

Wake Your Local Media: Impeachment Letters Spread Across Nation

Filed under: headline news — Lula @ 12:31 pm

Letters to the editor calling for Impeachment are finding their way to newspapers all over the country as American Patriots ignore the spinelessness of Democratic leaders and make their demands clear….

Madison,WI

Dear Editor: One of several reasons for electing Democrats to the upcoming Congress was to make sure that President Bush and Vice President Cheney would have to account for all the crimes they have committed against this government and against the people of the United States - as well as the world….

What these two top men have done is commit treasonous actions toward our country! This Congress is constitutionally required to investigate this administration if there is any reason to believe they have committed fraudulent acts in their tenure of governing. This is not at anyone’s option - this is your constitutional responsibility.

Bellmawr,NJ

I reminiscence about the old days when America was a place for people from different countries to look up to and someday hope to be a part of.
I now look with complete disdain at what has happened under the reign of a dictator running loose as our president.
At one time, the United States was the most revered and admired country in the world. Now, it is the most hated nation. President Bush has turned the nation into the most arrogant and bullying country in the world. Bush has run roughshod over Iraq and caused the death of nearly 3,000 U.S. servicemen and women….
Impeach this egotistic maniac before we are at war with every foreign power in the world.

Allentown,PA

When Bill Clinton was president, Congress tried to impeach him because he lied about a sex act. George Bush’s ‘’regime'’ has included a war based on next-to-nothing evidence that has killed thousands of Americans and innocent Iraqi citizens….

What’s happening to Bush? Demand action. We need everyone involved.

Brighton,MI

Impeachment is a viable option

Impeachment is not off the table, Nancy Pelosi. Congress must investigate and exercise oversight to the most corrupt regime in American history.

The list of abuses created and implemented by Vice President Dick Cheney and President George W. Bush is long indeed but includes billions of dollars in no-bid contracts; changing laws on torture to themselves escape punishment later; weakening environmental laws again to line their own pockets and those of their friends in the oil, gas and logging industries; and putting Americans in danger everywhere on Earth by thumbing their noses at long-accepted international laws, treaties, protocols, Geneva Conventions, etc. Did I forget lying to the world to carry-out a pre-emptive war to avenge Daddy in Iraq? This war was planned before G.W. came to office. Impeach!

Trempealeau, Wis

There are a number of reasons why Bush and Cheney could and should be investigated, impeached and convicted of high crimes against humanity and the United States Constitution.

Bush and Cheney have lied more often than they have told the truth about the illegal and immoral war in Iraq. Put them under oath and see how long their noses get. If this pair is not convicted of crimes against our nation and humanity, future leaders of our country will feel free to start other immoral wars while our hands and minds continue to be stained with the blood of humanity that will never wash clean.

If Bush and Cheney are not convicted for their crimes, our integrity and our freedom will soon disappear.

Consider writing to your local paper and letting them know how you feel about letting treasonous bastards off the hook and continuing to enable them in their ill conceived war plans and assault on our constitution. Here is a great list of arguments to help fight against the anti-impeachment propaganda being put out from the right wing as well as the left.

ARGUMENT- Impeachment is time-consuming, and will tie Congress up so it can’t do other business.

REBUTTAL- 1 - Congress can walk and chew gum at the same time. There are 435 members; investigation into impeachable offenses takes place in one committee- Judiciary.

REBUTTAL- 2 - If investigations were to start, the evidence would quickly become overwhelming, and the public outcry so great that Bush and Cheney would be forced to resign, as Nixon did.

REBUTTAL - 3 Other business would proceed much more quickly if the occupant of the White House was friendly, a Democrat, rather than hostile.

ARGUMENT- Impeachment would divide the country; it’s better to work together.

REBUTTAL 1- Bush has divided the country; the election proved that the people overwhelmingly want him and Cheney out, impeachment hearings would unite the people behind the new Congress, and the replacement president.

REBUTTAL 2- Bush and Cheney have very little support as shown by the polls- less than a third of the country are behind them, and it would be miniscule once their crimes were displayed in Congress. The country would unite against them.

REBUTTAL 3- A healthy democracy encourages disagreement and debate. The one - party system we actually have, with the Democrats covering for Bush, is a sham democracy.

The only way to bring the troops home: Impeach

Filed under: headline news — Lula @ 6:44 am

“Our soldiers are sitting ducks in a shooting gallery.
If we really cared about them, we would bring them home.”
– Dennis Kucinich
mp3 of floor speech

Is anyone really going to disagree with that? I think it rings true, if we really cared about our young men and women, then we would bring them home.

Bring the Troops Home: Impeach

Our young men and women were sent to Iraq on lies, yet now we must stay…. just another lie- yet it’s accepted as truth because the Democratic Leadership agrees with Bush. The new House Dem Leader supports the Repub plan to send more troops, & cutting the funding (how Vietnam ended) is not an option.

Hmmm, why don’t the “Opposition Leaders” oppose the war?

It has never been more clear that the majority of Both Parties do not care about what the American people wish. They do not care about our troops, or about the Iraqis.

Hmmm- which makes more sense- all that oil and power stuff, or the guys that lied to start the war telling us we must stay.

Another great quote from Kucinich:

Today, it was announced that 2,000 more Marines are being sent to Anbar province—a place which was already declared “lost” for the purposes of military occupation. Why are we sacrificing our young men and women? Why are we keeping them in an impossible situation?

Indeed, WHY are we sacrificing our young men and women?

Bush’s claim that, “A failed Iraq would make America less secure” is completely absurd bull, especially coming from someone that might go to trial once the war is over.

And the- we’re not leaving as long as he’s president - seems to be a challenge- directly telling us:

The only way to Bring the Troops Home is to Impeach Bush.

First we hold Congress’ feet to the fire. 50,000 telegrams to Congress forced them to hold impeachment hearings on Nixon….

We can try that avenue, and if they don’t act, then we’ll have to start camping on the national mall. Beginning Jan 3rd, ending when the nightmare is over.

Demand Action From Congress: 500,000 Impeachment Letters to Pelosi by Jan. 3

Filed under: headline news — Lula @ 8:11 pm

News has spread across the country, but Americans remain unhindered by spineless Democratic leaders’ calls for a cut and run from Impeachment. Instead of being silenced, patriotic Americans have been emboldened by this call to action and have turned up the volume on their demands for justice.

Anti-war Activists in San Francisco are already raising their voices outside Nancy Pelosi’s office “Activists urge Pelosi to halt war in Iraq
`

We’re out here today telling Nancy Pelosi congratulations on becoming speaker of the House,'’ activist Rae Abileah said. “Now it’s time to speak for the current majority and bring our troops home.'’

Cindy Sheehan has responded to Conyers and Pelosi’s dissappointing statements on Impeachment with an open letter “We the People are Setting the Table Now

We the people are shocked that you two are already stridently saying over and over again that impeachment is “off the table.” Since the historic Nov. 7th elections, I have talked to a boat-load of Americans who want impeachment on the table. We activists worked hard to make these elections about national issues, like the illegal and immoral occupation of Iraq, and the culture of corruption that, especially you, Ms. Pelosi have been railing against for months now. And you, Mr. Conyers, have already written a brilliant and detailed indictment of BushCo. We the people are definitely puzzled by your rhetoric.

We the people are here to tell you that we are the ones that are going to be setting the table, now….

We the people demand that you do your duties as officers and protectors of our Constitution and we demand that you do your duties as members of humanity to call a halt to the crimes against humanity of the Bush regime.

When the 110th Congress is seated on January 3rd, we the people, who also have a duty to our Constitution (We the People is the first line) and a duty to humanity will be walking the halls of your offices to tell you what our agenda is and what we want on the table….

See you on January 3rd.

Activists at the Democratic Underground are calling for a letter writing campaign much like the one that resulted in the pursuit of impeachment and resignation of Nixon.

More than 50,000 telegrams poured in on Capitol Hill today, so many, Western Union was swamped. Most of them demanded impeaching Mr. Nixon.

John Chancellor, NBC News on a Special Report on October 20, 1973

Send 500,000 impeachment letters to Pelosi by her first day as speaker Jan. 3

We already have more support than that. When John Conyers took Bush his petition demanding he answer questions about the DSM, it had 540,000 singnatures, over ten times as many as wrote about Nixon. I would bet most of those people would write to demand impeachment of Bush, probably more.

The great thing is, now we have someone to focus this demand on who can and possibly will act (in spite of her protests to the contrary): Nancy Pelosi.

She should have a half million signatures waiting for her her first day as Speaker of the House.

I think she and the many of the Democrats want to do this, but to overcome the reluctance of the DC etablishment and big money interests who are afraid their ox will be gored along with Bush & Cheney, she needs constant overwhelming evidence of public DEMAND not just support for impeachment.

Bush Committed a Crime-Congress Must Be Forced to Impeach

Filed under: headline news — Lula @ 6:36 am

As happy Americans are dancing with joy over the recent election mandate for accountability, Democratic Party leaders are coming out trying to dampen the spirit. The corporate media has paraded them through, first Nancy Pelosi and Howard Dean and when that wasn’t enough to shut up the cries for impeachment, John Conyers and Rahm Emmanuel came forth to say impeachment is off the table. Have they been paying any attention to what has been happening in this country?

First of all, It is generally agreed that this election was a statement about the war in Iraq, which is why the first order of business is to bring our troops home now! Bipartisan Legislation was introduced by members of Congress Dennis Kucinich, Ron Paul, Walter Jones and Neil Abercrombie “Homeward Bound” callling for the return of our troops starting October 2006. Contact your congressperson and tell them to sign on or introduce a similar bill immediately. Also contact Nancy Pelosi(use zip code 94110) or email her directly and tell her to bring the bill to the floor of the House as soon possible.

Secondly, this election is a mandate for accountability and the previously failing opposition party has a new chance to pursue the original goals of our founders. Bush has committed many crimes, but with time being a concern, I believe we should just focus on illegal wiretapping and remove Bush from office based on that alone ASAP….Johnathon Turley said it best at Conyer’s hearing on NSA spying

The Supreme Court has rejected the very claims being made by the President with regard to the NSA operation, it is in direct contradiction of FISA.

Now I want to be absolutely clear, what the President ordered in this case was a crime. Now we can debate whether he had a good or bad motivation, but it was a crime.

The federal law makes it clear- you cannot engage in this type of domestic surveillance without committing a crime.

We can debate the wisdom of that, we can debate why the President may have done it, but in my view, the President committed a crime, and we have to deal with that as citizens. And unfortunately, you have to deal with that as members of Congress.

It strikes an alarming circumstance when the President can go into a press conference and announce that he has violated a federal statute 30 times, and promises to continue to do so until someone stops him. That is the most remarkable admission that I have ever heard from a President of the United States…

John Conyers held this hearing but apparently wasn’t listening.

Don’t get me wrong, I am beyond thrilled at the change in direction of our country. However, I have witnessed the appeasement of the Bush administration for too long, and I know that the Democratic Party has some problems when they pass the Iran Freedom Support Act with only 22 Dems voting No in the House of Representatives, and 21 Democratic Cosponsors in the Senate. These people cannot be blindly trusted to do the people’s business, they must be forced to act on our behalf.
